Elizabeth Mayhew, lifestyle expert for NBC's Today show and special projects editor for House Beautiful magazine, unwittingly become a lifestyle expert after starting a catering company while at university. The Georgetown University art history major and self-professed epicurean began a full-fledged catering business while in college.
The media veteran was editorial development director for Real Simple magazine, prior to launching her latest book Flip! For Decorating.
Flip! For Decorating includes more than 200 color photographs and dozens of line drawings (illustrated by Elizabeth’s mother), as well as the fundamentals of color, no-fail wall and trim colors, the art of picking the perfect sofa, chairs, tables, and lighting and strategies on how to prioritize your decorating decisions.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, she now lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
