Elle Decor describes international interior designer Michelle Nussbaumer as a fearless style monger known for her dizzying trove of antiques and signature line of furniture and lighting.

Over the years Michelle has found numerous paths to channel her boundless and creative energy. Whether it's decorating the elaborate homes of her clients with her own furniture designs, Ceylon Portfolio, promoting her exotic line of jewelry, Ceylon Bijoux, seeking out fine antiques to sell at her chic showroom, Ceylon et Cie or just working in her garden, Michelle reflects the style and culture of all the places she has traveled and lived.

Born and raised in Texas, she attended Southern Methodist University where she pursued a degree in Theatre Design. She spent four years in Rome where she lived on the Appia Antica, owned a shop in Los Angeles’ trendsetting La Brea for nine years, and frequently visits Switzerland, the homeland of her husband, where they share a home.

Michelle's work and furniture designs have been featured in many national publications including Elle Decor, Veranda, Southern Accents, House and Garden, House Beautiful, Western Interiors and The New York Times. Michelle resides in Dallas with her husband and four children. Current projects include a hacienda in Mexico and projects in Los Angeles, New York and Dallas. Additionally she is working on a design book (soon to be published), as well as a fabric line.
